    Content and Media Lead

Location : London / Full Time

    Overview

We are hiring a Content & Media Lead to completely transform Kai’s content engine.

Right now, our output is inconsistent and reactive. We need someone who can bring clarity, structure, taste, authority, and momentum to how we show up across campaigns and social.

This is an overhaul, build-and-lead role, not a maintenance role.

You must be able to independently own, direct, shoot, and execute Kai’s content output without requiring day-to-day creative or production management from the founder. This role requires initiative, creative authority, and full accountability for results.

You will be responsible for defining and executing the content strategy that turns community energy into brand growth.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    Strategy & Direction

    • Audit current content output and define what needs to change

    • Build a clear content strategy across TikTok, Instagram, campaigns, and evergreen

    • Define content pillars and storytelling structure

    • Establish what “excellent” looks like for Kai content

    Community Amplification

    • Build systems to capture, curate, and amplify community content

    • Turn customer love into consistent, intentional storytelling

    • Ensure Kai is culturally present and responsive

    Creative Leadership

    • In partnership with the founder’s creative partner, lead campaign and drop ideation

    • Develop strong creative concepts before production

    • Protect and elevate the brand’s taste level

    • Challenge and refine ideas rather than simply execute them

    Production Ownership & Execution

    • Independently own and direct end-to-end shoot production

    • Take full control of shoot environments, including timelines, call sheets, and crew coordination

    • Enforce timekeeping and maintain authority on set

    • Anticipate production issues before they arise

    • Ensure styling, props, and shot lists are signed off before shoot days

    • Build and manage budgets with strong commercial judgment

    • Be highly competent shooting strong photo and video content yourself on iPhone and small camera

    • Understand framing, angles, lighting, composition, and pacing

    • Confidently edit short-form video for TikTok and Instagram

    • Be able to create high-performing social content without relying on external production teams

    Systems & Accountability

    • Create structured content calendars and workflows

    • Introduce clarity around approvals and budget thresholds

    • Take responsibility for output quality, consistency, and performance

    Skills & Experience

    • 5+ years experience in content production, creative strategy, or content leadership within fashion, beauty, or culture-led brands

    • Proven experience leading content strategy rather than purely executing briefs

    • Demonstrable experience improving or transforming a brand’s content output

    • Strong portfolio of campaign work showing concept development and creative direction

    • Strong hands-on content creation skills with demonstrated ability to shoot and edit high-quality short-form video

    • Clear understanding of visual storytelling, composition, lighting, and social-native filming techniques

    • Experience managing shoot production end-to-end, including budgeting and supplier negotiation

    • Confident running shoots and taking control of environments, timelines, and teams

    • Portfolio must include examples of self-shot content, not only large campaign work

    • London-based and comfortable working in a fast-paced, founder-led environment

    You Will Thrive If

    • You have strong creative taste and clear point of view

    • You’ve led content strategy at a fashion, beauty, or culture-led brand

    • You are excited by messy environments and know how to bring order

    • You balance ambition with commercial awareness

    • You feel responsible for outcomes, not tasks

    • You are comfortable making decisions and taking control of creative environments

    How to apply

Please email careers@kaicollective.com with your CV, a cover letter and a relevant portfolio with examples of your production and content work.
